بررسی غلظت کلی فلوراید و غلظت فلوراید محلول در چهار نوع خمیر دندان موجود در بازار مصرف ایران

چکیده
چکیدهمقدمه: یکی از مؤثرترین و در عین حال مقرون به‌صرفه‌ترین راه‌های جلوگیری از پوسیدگی دندان استفاده از خمیر دندان‌های حاوی فلوراید است. برای اثربخش بودن فلوراید در خمیر دندان‌ها مقدار کافی از آن باید به صورت محلول باشد. مطالعه‌ی حاضر با هدف ارزیابی غلظت کلی فلوراید و غلظت فلوراید قابل حل در تعدادی از خمیر دندان‌های پرفروش در بازار مصرف ایران و مقایسه‌ی آن با محدوده‌ی استاندارد بین المللی (ppm 1500-1000) انجام پذیرفت.مواد و روش‌ها: تحقیق حاضر نوعی مطالعه‌ی توصیفی- تحلیلی آزمایشگاهی می‌باشد. در این مطالعه غلظت کلی فلوراید و غلظت فلوراید قابل حل در 4 نوع خمیر دندان شامل 3 خمیر دندان ساخت داخل (پونه، داروگر و پاوه) و یک نوع خمیر دندان خارجی (کرست 7) توسط الکترود ویژه‌ی یونی اندازه‌گیری شد. نتایج توسط آزمون‌های تحلیلone-way Variance، Kruskal Wallis، Mann-Whitney و Post hoc Tukey مورد تحلیل آماری قرار گرفت (05/0=α).یافته‌ها: غلظت کلی فلوراید و غلظت فلوراید محلول تنها در خمیر دندان کرست 7 بالاتر از ppm 1000 بود. غلظت فلوراید محلول در خمیر دندان کرست 7 به‌صورت معنی‌داری از سایر خمیر دندان‌ها بیش‌تر بود (001/0p value < )، اما میان سایر خمیر دندان‌ها اختلاف معنی‌داری وجود نداشت (05/0 p value >). نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس نتایج مطالعه‌ی حاضر، علی‌رغم این‌که نمونه خارجی میزان فلوراید مناسبی داشت، سه خمیر دندان دیگر مورد بررسی، میزان فلوراید کم‌تری از حد استاندارد داشتند.کلید واژه‌ها: خمیر دندان، فلوراید، پوسیدگی دندان

Determination of total fluoride and soluble fluoride in four toothpastes available on the Iranian market

Abstract Introduction: One of the most effective and inexpensive methods to prevent tooth decay is the use of fluoride dentifrices. An adequate concentration of soluble fluoride should be available in toothpastes to have an inhibitory effect on caries. This study was designed to evaluate and compare total fluoride and soluble fluoride concentrations in most commonly consumed toothpastes in Iran with the international standard of 1000‒1500 ppm.Materials and methods: In this descriptive-analytical study 3 samples from 4 toothpastes were from Iran (Pooneh, Daroogar, Paveh) and one of them was an imported product (Crest 7). Total fluoride and total soluble fluoride concentrations were determined by ion specific electrode. Data were analyzed with one-way ANOVA, and Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney and post hoc Tukey tests (α=0.05). Results: Total fluoride and total soluble fluoride concentrations were higher than 1000 ppm only in Crest 7 toothpaste. Total soluble fluoride concentration in Crest 7 toothpaste was significantly higher than other toothpastes (p value < 0.001). There were no significant differences between the 3 other toothpastes (p value > 0.05).Conclusions: Based on the results of the present study, the imported toothpaste had a favorable fluoride concentration but the Iranian products had fluoride levels below the standard levels.
