چکیده

مقدمه: مهم‌ترین استفاده از فناوری دی‌ان‌ای نوترکیب (Recombinant DNA) جهت تولید دارو‌های خاص، از جمله پروتئین نو‌ترکیب GM-CSF (Granulocyte Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor) (فاکتور رشد گرانولوسیتی- مونوسیتی انسانی یا مولگراموستیم) است، که دارای کاربرد زیادی جهت کاهش عوارض جانبی ناشی از شیمی‌درمانی و افزایش سطح سیستم ایمنی بدن می‌باشد. درمان آبسه‌ی دندان در افراد تحت شیمی‌درمانی، از مهم‌ترین کاربردهای این دارو در دندان‌پزشکی است. همچنین GM-CSF از داروهای کلیدی جهت درمان موکوزیت ناشی از شیمی‌درمانی و رادیوتراپی ناحیه‌ی دهان می‌باشد. در این مقاله، کاربردهای داروی نوترکیب مولگراموستیم در درمان بیماری‌های مختلف مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.
شرح مقاله: در این مقاله‌ی مروری با جستجو در منابع و مقالات موجود در پایگاه علمی ISI Web of Science و PubMed به کمک موتور جستجوگر Google Scholar مقالات مرتبط بین سال‌های 1973 تا سال 2014 میلادی جمع‌آوری گردید و در مدت زمان 8 ماه مورد مطالعه و بررسی قرار گرفتند. از مقالات با موضوع اثرات درمانی پروتئین نوترکیب GM-CSF در درمان بیماری‌ها جهت نوشتن این پژوهش استفاده شد.
نتیجه‌گیری: توانایی فاکتور محرک رشد گرانولوسیتی- مونوسیتی انسانی (GM-CSF)، جهت تحریک تولید گرانولوسیت و ماکروفاژ در شرایط کلینیکی (in vivo) نشان می‌دهد، تجویز GM-CSF می‌تواند از نظر بالینی باعث افزایش تعداد نوتروفیل‌ها و بالا بردن سطح سیستم ایمنی پس از آسیب‌هایی که توسط بیماری‌هایی مانند سندرم میلودیسپلاستیک و یا آسیب‌های ناشی از داروهایی که در طی شیمی‌درمانی به کار می‌روند، گردد. همچنین با توجه به کاربرد درمانی وسیع GM-CSF در بالا بردن سیستم ایمنی، می‌توان این دارو را به عنوان یکی از فاکتورهای مهم در درمان آبسه‌ی دندان در افراد تحت شیمی‌درمانی معرفی نمود.

چکیده [English]

Introduction: Synthesis of new drugs, including GM-CSF (granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor), is one of the most important use of recombinant DNA technology. GM-CSF is a Molgramostim drug that is widely used in order to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and enhance the immune system. Treatment of dental abscesses in patients undergoing chemotherapy is one of the most common uses of this drug in dentistry. In addition, GM-CSF has a key role in the treatment of mucositis in patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy of the oral area. In this review, the different uses of the recombinant molgramostim drugs in treating different diseases were evaluated.
Article Explanation: In the current review paper, relevant articles were collected from ISI Web of Science and PubMed databases by using Google Scholar search engine from 1973 to 2014. The articles were analyzed for 8 months. Articles related to the effect of recombinant GM-CSF on treating disease were included in the current paper.
Conclusion: The potency of GM-CSF in inducing the production of granulocytes and macrophages in vivo shows that it can clinically increase neutrophil counts and enhance the immune system subsequent to injuries inflicted by conditions such as myelodysplastic syndrome or injuries due to chemotherapeutic agents. In addition, considering the widespread therapeutic use of GM-CSF to boost the immune system, it can be introduced as an important agent for the treatment of dental abscesses in chemotherapy patients.
