بررسی آگاهی دانشجویان سال آخر دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی اصفهان پیرامون فوریت‌های پزشکی

چکیده

مقدمه: وقوع فوریت‌های پزشکی حین درمان دندان‌پزشکی امری محتمل است. توانمندی دندان‌پزشک در مواجهه با اورژانس‌های پزشکی نیازمند داشتن آگاهی و اطلاعات علمی کافی است. هدف از انجام این پژوهش، بررسی سطح آگاهی دانشجویان سال آخر دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی اصفهان پیرامون فوریت‌های پزشکی در درمان دندان‌پزشکی بود.
مواد و روش‌ها: این مطالعه‌ی توصیفی- تحلیلی به روش مقطعی در سال 1398 میان 60 نفر از دانشجویان سال آخر دندان‌پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی اصفهان انجام گرفت. نحوه‌ی جمع‌آوری اطلاعات به صورت پرسش‌نامه‌ای بود که روایی و پایایی آن مورد تأیید واقع شد. داده‌ها با روش‌های توصیفی آمار، محاسبه‌ی Correlation Coefficients و Independent t-test با سطح معنی‌داری 0/05 مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند.
یافته‌ها: در این مطالعه مجموع نمرات آگاهی شرکت‌کنندگان 2/58 ± 7/53 از 12 به دست آمد. تفاوت معنی‌داری میان سطح آگاهی خانم‌ها و آقایان یافت نشد (0/72 = p value). همچنین مشخص گردید ارتباط نسبی میان نمره‌ی درس فوریت‌های پزشکی دانشجویان با میزان آگاهی آن‌ها در زمینه‌ی فوریت‌های پزشکی در دندان‌پزشکی وجود دارد (0/48 = r، 0/001 > p value).
نتیجه‌گیری: میزان آگاهی دانشجویان سال آخر دندان‌پزشکی پیرامون فوریت‌های پزشکی در دندان‌پزشکی در سطح مطلوبی نمی‌باشد. پیشنهاد می‌شود محتوای آموزشی ارائه شده به آن‌ها مورد بازبینی قرار گیرد، مضاف بر آن با برگزاری کلاس‌های علمی و کارگاه‌های عملی، دانش و مهارت دانشجویان در این زمینه ارتقاء یابد.

چکیده [English]

Introduction: Medical emergencies during dental treatment are likely to occur. The ability of a dentist to manage medical emergencies requires sufficient knowledge and information. The purpose of this study was to survey the level of knowledge of the undergraduate dental students of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences about medical emergencies.
Materials and Methods: In the cross-sectional study in 2019, 60 senior dental students at the University of Medical Sciences of Isfahan were evaluated. A questionnaire was used for data collection which the validity and reliability of it was confirmed. Data were analyzed with correlation coefficients and independent t-test with the 0.05 level of significance.  
Results: Participants' total knowledge scores were 7.53 ± 2.58 out of 12. There wasn’t a significant difference between the knowledge of male and female students (p value = 0.72). Also this study revealed the relative relationship between students' medical emergencies score and their knowledge of urgency (p value < 0.001, r = 0.48).
Conclusion: The knowledge level of senior dental students about medical emergencies was not desirable. It is recommended that the educational content including more theoretical classes and practical workshops should be considered for dental students.
