آگاهی و نگرش دندان‌پزشکان عمومی شهر اصفهان نسبت به درمان صدمات ضربه به دندان‌ها

چکیده

مقدمه: تروما به دندان، یک مشکل رایج در کودکان است که می‌تواند مشکلاتی از قبیل مشکلات روانی، اجتماعی، افسردگی، مشکل در بلع و زیبایی برای فرد به همراه آورد. دندان‌پزشکان نقش مهمی در کاهش عوارض این صدمات دارند، بنابراین آگاهی دندان‌پزشکان از علت، پیشگیری و درمان این ضایعات از اهمیت ویژه‌ای برخوردار است. هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی میزان آگاهی دندان‌پزشکان عمومی شهر اصفهان در درمان این صدمات بود.
مواد و روش ها: امطالعه‌ی توصیفی- تحلیلی و مقطعی حاضر با استفاده از پرسش‌نامه‌ای شامل اطلاعات دموگرافیک و دانش دندان‌پزشکان عمومی در خصوص مدیریت و درمان تروماهای دندان (22 سؤال) و ارزیابی نگرش آن‌ها (11 سؤال) در میان 125 دندان‌پزشک عمومی شهر اصفهان (که بصورت تصادفی آسان انتخاب شدند) در سال 1398 انجام شد. داده‌ها با آزمون‌های آماری t-test، ضریب همبستگی Pearson و Spearman مورد تجزیه و تحلیل آماری قرار گرفت (0/05 > p value).
یافته ها: ممحدوده‌ی سنی دندان‌پزشکان شرکت‌کننده 24 تا 57 سال با میانگین 10/7 ± 37/6 (68 نفر (54 درصد) زن و 57 نفر (46 درصد) مرد بودند. میانگین نمرات آگاهی و نگرش دندان‌پزشکان مورد مطالعه نسبت به مدیریت و درمان صدمات دندانی به ترتیب 2/71 ± 13/65 از 22 و 5/98  ± 39/01 از 55 به دست آمد. میزان آگاهی در جنس خانم‌ها بیشتر از آقایان بود (0/002 = p value). همچنین بین میزان آگاهی و سن (0/3- = r) (0/001 = P value) و میزان آگاهی و سابقه‌ی کار (0/209 - = r) (0/026 = P value) رابطه‌ی معکوس دیده شد.
نتیجه گیری: میزان آگاهی دندان‌پزشکان عمومی شهر اصفهان در سال ۱۳۹۸ متوسط بود. پیشنهاد می‌شود با برگزاری بازآموزی‌هایی در رابطه با مدیریت و درمان اورژانسی این صدمات و در نتیجه با افزایش آگاهی دندا‌ن‌پزشکان، نسبت به نجات این دندان‌ها امیدوارتر بود.

Isfahan General Dentists’ Knowledge and attitude about the Management of Dental Trauma

Introduction: Trauma to the teeth is a prevalent problem in children that can lead to depression, psychosomatic issues, social problem, dysphasia and esthetic cancerns for them. Dentists play a crucial role in reducing the side effects of dental trauma so that their knowledge about the causes, prevention and treatment of such truma is of paramount important. Consequently, this study aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude of general dentists’ in Isfahan regarding the management of dental trauma.
Materials and Method: The present study was a descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study that used a questionnaire consisting of demographic information and general dentists' knowledge about the management and treatment of dental trauma (22 questions) and their attitudes towards the subject (11 questions). The questionnaire was completed by 125 general dentists in Isfahan city who were randomly selected in 2019. The data were analyzed using statistical tests including t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Spearman's correlation coefficient (p value < 0.05).
Results: The mean score of general dentists’ knowledge was 13.65 ± 2.71 and the mean score of attitude was 39.01 ± 5.98. Women had higher knowledge about dental trauma than men (p value = 0.002). There was also a negative correlation between age (p value = 0.001) and job experience (p value = 0.026) regarding dental trauma knowledge.
Conclusion: General dentists’ knowledge, who worked in Isfahan, regarding the treatments of TDI in 2019 was at a moderate level. It is suggested that with holding dental trauma retraining courses about how to manage and urgent treat this traumas, thus being more hopeful to rescue these teeth by increasing the awareness of dentists.
